Cape Breton High School Hockey League playoffs begin Friday
SYDNEY, N.S. —
The four-team Cape Breton High School Hockey League playoffs will begin this weekend.
The first-place Riverview Redmen will host fourth-place Sydney Academy in the best-of-five first-round series, while the second-place Glace Bay Panthers will play the third-place Memorial Marauders.
The Redmen and Wildcats will open the series today at 7 p.m. at the Cape Breton County Recreation Centre in Coxheath. Game 2 is slated for Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at the Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre. The remainder of the schedule was not confirmed.
Glace Bay and Memorial will begin the series on Saturday at 7:45 p.m. at the Canada Games Complex in Sydney. Game 2 will be played Sunday at 7:45 p.m. at the Emera Centre Northside in North Sydney. The remainder of the schedule was not announced.
The Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation provincials will be held March 6-8 in Alma, Pictou County.
