Riverview edges Memorial in overtime in high school hockey Thursday

NORTH SYDNEY, N.S. — 

Liam Robertson netted the overtime winner to lift the Riverview Ravens to a 3-2 victory over the Memorial Marauders in Cape Breton High School Hockey League action at the Emera Centre Northside on Thursday.

The forward potted the winner with 57 seconds left extra frame with Owen Burke given credit for the assist on the goal.

Curtis Novak and Colby McCarron notched goals in regulation time for the Ravens.

Ian Jenkins and Ryan MacMullin replied with goals for the Marauders.

Riverview's Devon Gallant made 23 saves. Memorial's Aidan Penny stopped 42 of 44 shots before he was replaced in the third period by Andrew Marsh, who turned aside nine of 10 shots.

Riverview and Memorial will be in action on Friday when the Ravens host the Marauders at 7:30 p.m. at the Cape Breton County Recreation Centre in Coxheath.
