McCarron nets four goals to lead Riverview Ravens to playoff win over Sydney Academy Wednesday

MEMBERTOU, N.S. — 

Coby McCarron's offensive production hasn't slown down in the playoffs for the Riverviw Ravens.

The Coxheath product found the back of the net four times to lead the Ravens to an 8-2 victory over the Sydney Academy Wildcats in Cape Breton High School Hockey League double round robin play at the Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre on Wednesday.

McCarron scored in the first period before adding three in the middle stanza.

JC MacDonald, Charlie Lantz, Noah MacKinnon and Kyle Rudderham also added goals for the Ravens (1-1-0-0).

Mason Mills and Graham Basque replied with goals for the Wildcats (0-2-0-0).

Riverview's Pat Hinchey made 12 saves. Sydney Academy's Daniel MacGillivary stopped 35 of 43 shots.

Cape Breton High School Hockey League action resumes on Thursday with the Memorial Marauders hosting the Glace Bay Panthers at 7 p.m. at the Emera Centre Northside in North
Sydney.
