COXHEATH, N.S. - The Glace Bay Panthers spoiled the Riverview Ravens home opener with a 6-3 victory in Cape Breton High School Hockey League action at the Cape Breton County Recreation Centre, Tuesday.

Landon Clark scored twice, while Tyler Cormier, Tyson Boland, Mason Fraser, and Kale McNeil added single markers for the Panthers (1-0-0-0).

Liam Robertson scored a pair of goals, while JC MacDonald chipped in with a goal for the Ravens (0-1-0-0).

Glace Bay's Darian McInnis made 14 saves. Riverview's Patrick Hinchey turned aside 16 of 22 shots.

The Panthers will return to action on Thursday when they travel to North Sydney to play the Memorial Marauders at 7 p.m. at Emera Centre Northside.

As for the Ravens, they take to the ice on Tuesday to play the Sydney Academy Wildcats at 7 p.m. at the Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre.
