NORTH SYDNEY, N.S. - Three different goal scorers found the back of the net for the Glace Bay Panthers in their Cape Breton High School Hockey League win on Thursday.

The Panthers, who opened the season last Tuesday with a 6-3 win over Riverview, downed the Memorial Marauders 3-1 at Emera Centre Northside in North Sydney.

Mason Fraser, Adam Hicks, and Joshua Gottwald netted goals for the Panthers (2-0-0-0).

Dylan Campbell had the lone goal for the Marauders (0-2-0-0).

Glace Bay's Owen Coombes made 14 saves. Memorial's Tye Swan stopped 21 of 24 shots.

The Panthers will return to action on Sunday when they host the Sydney Academy Wildcats at 7 p.m. at Miners Forum in Glace Bay.


As for the Marauders, they will be back in action next Thursday when they host the Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. at Emera Centre Northside.
