Glace Bay Panthers down Memorial Marauders in high-scoring Cape Breton High School Hockey League play

GLACE BAY, N.S. – The Glace Bay Panthers come out on top in a high-scoring Cape Breton High School Hockey League battle with the Memorial Marauders on Sunday.

The Panthers defeated the Marauders 8-5 at the Miners Forum in Glace Bay.

Brayden MacDonald and Kale MacDonald both scored twice, while Dylin White, Tyson Boland, Parker Hutchings and Niklas MacDonald also added goals for the Panthers.

Lincoln MacKenzie scored twice, while Lucas Gracie, Jesse Ross and Carter Petite replied with goals for the Marauders.

Glace Bay’s Brandon Cole made 17 saves. Memorial’s Jack MacPhee stopped 27 of 35 shots.

High school hockey action resumes on Tuesday when the Sydney Academy Wildcats host the Riverview Ravens at 7 p.m. at the Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre.
