Matheson leads Glace Bay Panthers to road win over Sydney Academy in Cape Breton high school hockey play

Brady Matheson found the back of the net three times to lead the Glace Bay Panthers to a 4-2 win over the Sydney Academy Wildcats in Cape Breton High School Hockey League action at the Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre on Tuesday.

Along with Matheson, Jesse Cathcart also netted a goal for the Panthers.

Riley Crane and Kenzie Carew replied with goals for the Wildcats.

Glace Bay’s Brandon Cole made 16 saves. Sydney Academy’s Brody Campbell stopped 20 of 24 shots.

Cape Breton High School Hockey League action continues on Thursday with the Memorial Marauders hosting the Glace Bay Panthers at 7:40 p.m. at the Emera Centre Northside in North Sydney.
