Riverview, Memorial and Glace Bay claim Cape Breton high school hockey wins

GLACE BAY, N.S. - The Riverview Ravens, Memorial Marauders and Glace Bay Panthers each picked up wins in the Cape Breton High School Hockey League recently.
On Sunday, the Ravens blanked the Panthers 5-0 at the Miners Forum in Glace Bay.
Gahan Rector had two goals and an assist, while Shamus Lahey, Brennan Moore and Royce Balcom chipped in with goals for the Ravens.
Riverview's Andrew Burke stopped all 21 shots he faced. Glace Bay's Kristian MacKenzie stopped 19 of 21 shots, while Brandon Cole allowed two goals on nine shots.
On Friday, the Marauders downed the Ravens 5-1 at the Cape Breton County Recreation Centre in Coxheath.
Lincoln MacKenzie and James Jobes scored twice, while Lucas Gracie chipped in with a goal for the Marauders.
Braedy MacKenzie had the lone goal for the Ravens.
Memorial's Jack MacPhee made 29 saves, while Colby Ivey made two saves in his 1:58 of action. Riverview's Ryan MacDonald turned aside 19 of 23 shots.
On Thursday, the Panthers doubled the Marauders 4-2 at the Emera Centre Northside in North Sydney.
Niklas MacDonald, Parker Hutchings, Pierce Hutchings, and Kale MacDonald netted goals for the Panthers.
Sam Gracie and Jesse Ross replied with goals for the Marauders.
Glace Bay's MacKenzie made 13 saves. Memorial's MacPhee stopped 18 of 22 shots.
Next up for the Cape Breton High School Hockey League is the annual Panther Classic, which begins Thursday at Miners Forum in Glace Bay.
