Redmen double Panthers in high school hockey play

SYDNEY, N.S. — 

The Riverview Redmen picked up their second win of the season on Sunday, defeating the Glace Bay Panthers 4-2 in Cape Breton High School Hockey League action at the Canada Games Complex.

Nathaniel Fuller, Bryce MacKenzie, Sam MacKinnon and Liam Robertson found the back of the net for the Redmen (2-0-0-0).

Adam Hicks and Jarrett Hicks answered with goals for the Panthers (1-2-0-0).

Josh Leudy made 26 saves in the win for Riverview. Owen Coombes turned aside 16 of 20 shots in the loss for Glace Bay.

Cape Breton High School Hockey League action continues today with the Memorial Marauders hosting the Sydney Academy Wildcats at 8:30 p.m. at the Emera Centre Northside in North Sydney.
